School Hours

School hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is very important that your child come to school on time. We recommend that your child be at school no later than 8:15 a.m. A student who is not in his/her seat when class begins at 8:30 a.m. is considered tardy. All tardy students must report to the school office to receive an admission pass. Excessive tardies will result in a child’s detention and/or penalty fees. These Policies include VPK thru grade 8.

For details on Tardy Policy please refer to your Parent Handbook

Arrival & Dismissal  Since most children come to school and are picked up by car, it is very important to exercise extreme precautions. School students may be "dropped off" at the playground gate or entrance in the morning after 7:00 a.m. After 8:30 a.m., the playground gate will be locked until 3:00 p.m. No parking is allowed at the front entrance. The entrance is for “Drop-Off” only. The safety of all the children is of primary importance. Always drive slowly through the parking area.

Christian Discipline Policy
The point of Christian discipline is not only to punish the student, or judge the sin, but to lead the student to truly feel a sense of regret and show sympathy for those around him, and more importantly, God. Discipline will be administered with love and fairness, according to Martin Luther's Explanation of the Fourth Commandment from the Catechism which states: “We should fear and love God so that we do not despise or anger our parents and other authorities but honor them, serve and obey them, love and cherish them”.The methods used in such discipline may include “time out” from the rest of the class; talking to the child; calling the parent(s); and, as last resort, suspension or expulsion of the child from school.
Lunch and Snacks

We abide by the Florida Department of Health Guidelines. We do offer a hot lunch program that is catered by KID GOURNMET. The cost is $12 weekly. Milk may also be purchased at the school. The parent must buy a $15 milk card in advance that is good for 44 milk cartons. Lunch may be brought from home and packing a snack is highly recommended if the student stays for the extended afterschool “day-care” program. All snacks must be healthy snacks. Fundraiser bake sales are also another place where students can use their money to buy snacks. These “bake sales” are occasionally on Fridays or during on campus home games for sports.
